Mothers’ Day 2015: Where do we go from here

The morning of Mothers’ Day 2014 was when we learned that Sam had passed away overnight.  Within days, we learned it was from a little-known synthetic drug, 25i-NBOMe.  Mothers’ Day 2015 was carefully contemplated as we knew there would be a range of emotions as the day progressed.  We awoke, attended church and had our soul’s nourished, then Sam’s younger brother, Nick, played Uncle Bill taking up the challenge to a one-on-one basketball game to 21.  The game took place at the church outside basketball goal in place now in Sam’s memory.  Still, it was the start of something new; Nick was declared champ.  But where do we go from here?  It’s true, as Chris Rene sings in his original song that Sam and I listened to together when he performed it live on X-Factor several years ago… God only knows.
