Duluth Police warning of dangers of new "N-Bomb" drug

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)--- Law enforcement agencies around the state are sending out a warning to both parents and students about the presence of a new synthetic drug called the "N-BOMB"

The drug is a synthetic hallucinogen...similar to L-S-D but much more potent.

While the drug has shown up in high schools throughout Minnesota, Duluth Police say it has not been seen in the Northland yet.

The department says they are still remaining vigilant, as the drug could show up here anytime.

Police have been made aware of the drug and warning the public of its dangers.

"This is not like something that's being made in a pharmaceutical lab. It's in a clan lab. They're throwing chemicals in there that you have no idea what's in it so you might think it's, ah, a great party thing or something like that, but you don't know what you're gonna get," said Jeff Kazel, Commander of the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

The Duluth Police Department undergoes extensive training for all new drugs.
