National Drug Facts Week: Jan. 26 through Feb. 1, 2015
45 Indiana schools participated via Sam's Watch and were eligible for a $1,000 drawing donation in memory of Sam Motsay. These schools represent nearly 34,000 students participating across Indiana. (Below is the full school list.)

National Drug Facts Week Student Contest Official Rules
Sam’s Watch, Inc.’s (the “Sponsor”) National Drug Facts Week Contest (the “Contest”), starts on January 26, 2015, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at 11:59 p.m. ET (“Contest Period”). Winners will be announced on or by February 13, 2015. No purchase or donation necessary.
Eligibility: Participation in this Contest is open to students (“Entrants”) who, as of date of entry, are enrolled in a school registered for National Drug Facts Week via Sam’s Watch. There will be three student winners in Indiana; one from each of the following regions: North, Central, South. (See Regions Map Image above.)
II. How to Enter Contest: Entrants must submit contest entries to the Sam’s Watch website email at email@example.com (the “Contest Email”) with Entrant’s first and last name, School, and Grade, after reading the Official Rules and submitting entries to the Contest Email constitutes acknowledgement of Official Rules to qualify for the Sam’s Watch National Drug Facts Week Contest. Contest submissions (“Entries”) to the Contest Email address must be either a Blog of three to five written paragraphs with an original photograph; or a Video of three to five minutes in length with original material. Each entry must follow the technical, creative and legal requirements described in these Official Rules. Entries may be submitted to the Contest Email address during the Contest Period only. There is a limit of one entry per student. The Sponsor shall not be held responsible for any Entries not fully received by 11:59 p.m. ET on February 1, 2015.
III. Technical and Creative Requirements: By entering the Sam’s Watch National Drug Facts Week Blog/Video Contest you are agreeing to the following guidelines and rules:
- Absolutely no copyrighted pictures.
- Each entry must clearly be a Drugs and Health topic about drug risks: to your health, to your success in school, and/or the dangers of drugs threatening young people; this topic is to align with getting the facts out as part of National Drug Facts Week, “Shatter the Myths.”
- Each entry must unique.
- Any improper use of language will be cause for automatic disqualification.
- Each entry must be original by the student submitting the entry and cannot violate any intellectual property or other rights of someone else.
- Entries that contain inappropriate content as determined by Sponsor will be disqualified.
- If entry submission is not considered an acceptable format, the Sponsor will notify the Entrant by the Entrant’s email submission address.
- By entering this contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor from any claim, demand, action, cause of action, injury, loss, expense or any other liability arising from participation in this contest, the use of any entry submitted, or the awarding, acceptance or use of any prize awarded under the contest.
- By entering the contest, winners agree to allow Sam’s Watch, and its agents to publish, and/or broadcast their name, photograph, city or town of residence and statements without compensation other than the prize awarded.
IV. Entry Terms: By entering, Entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules: Entries may be submitted only by an individual Entrant. Group entries will not be accepted for prize awards. By entering, each Entrant guarantees to the Sponsor 1) that the Entrant has obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions in writing from any person (or the person’s parent or legal guardian if the person is a minor) who may have helped create or who may appear in the Entry, 2) that the Entrant has obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions in writing for the use of any material or elements that are not owned by the Entrant or which are subject to the rights of third parties, prior to the submission of the Entry and 3) that his or her Entry conforms to these Official Rules. The Entrant guarantees that the Entry: 1) is the original work of the Entrant; 2) does not contain any use of the names, likenesses, photographs, or other identifying elements, in whole or in part, of any person, living, or dead without written permission for use in the Entry and for use by the Sponsor; 3) does not include trademarks, logos, copyrighted material, or other intellectual property (including company names, photographs, works of art, visual or audio clips from motion pictures, television programs or websites, or other media) unless owned by Entrant or used with written permission of the owner for use in the Entry and by the Sponsor; 4) except as set forth above, the Entry is not subject to any third party agreements, and the Sponsor will not be required to pay for or incur any expenditure to obtain further permissions of any person or entity as a result of its use or exploitation of the Entry, modified versions of or derivative works from the Entry, or the ideas included in the Entry; 5) does not defame, misrepresent, or contain disparaging remarks or any content which could adversely affect the name, reputation, or goodwill of any individual or entity, the determination of which shall remain in the sole discretion of the Sponsor; 6) does not violate any applicable federal, local, state, provincial, national or international law; 7) complies with any required permits or similar regulations required by local authorities or property owners and that all required permissions have been obtained and are documented sufficiently such that Entrant can show proof of such permissions upon request from the Sponsor.
V. Prize: In the Sponsor’s sole discretion, the student Blog or Video that best exemplifies the purpose of National Drug Facts Week “Shatter the Myths” will be awarded an iPad in each of the three Indiana regions of North, Central, South.
